The ideas when combining carpentry and painting are limitless. Our pictures at the bottom demonstrate some of the stylish outcomes of finished rooms, foyers and stair landings. We found that the color combinations worked well when the white, high gloss enamel stair balusters matched the wall trim (crown moldings,chair rail,baseboard)

       The Oakland County customer chose the black handrail/white railing color contrast. We thought that it worked really well. The railings were finished with a polyurethane for protection. As you can see, the boxed trim below the chair rail finished the job nicely.

The picture at bottom shows a much larger close-up of the same job but a different angle. Clearly, we used blue tape to protect the carpeting.

Just below, the carpentry work involved installing French doors, baseboard, casing, crown molding and a semi-circular stair to the landing of the living room.We also installed the oak flooring and did many, many drywall repairs in this home remodel.
