The bathroom is to the right...
Basement is finished with overhead lighting, crown molding, paint and ceiling painted black for a dramatic effect in this home based salon.
In the pictures above, we removed the wall to open the area and added a handrail and spindles. For the flooring material, we used 1/4 " thick by 18" wide vinyl which can withstand a lot of traffic by the back entry door. The customer wanted miniture can lighting which was a good choice for this cozy little basement.

In this basement, the customer wasn't looking for a complete remodel as this was also a laundry room, so we suggested using black ceiling paint to finish. This is not only inexpensive but hides the wiring and ductwork nicely, which also leaves easy access to the mechanical. Left side of the door is the lounging area and behind the door is the laundry room.
